Handkerchief Dolls

I was recently asked to help at the Primary Pioneer Day activity.
We made Handkerchief Dolls.
Here are a couple of little pioneers with their dolls!
This young lady is quite a seamstress.

I also 'helped' her at Halloween sew a Trick or Treat bag.
She had no trouble with either project.
She has her own little sewing machine and her Grandma has been teaching her to sew!

The Bears Are Out Tonight!

This is a video that my friend Ellen's family took of an adventure in our back yard. We had left the garage door open and during dinner Rebecca and Mary told us there was a mama deer and her baby in our garage. We didn't think too much of it, but then they came back in a minute and said there was another cub with the mama. That got our attention and we realized they had said mama "bear" not deer! We all jumped up and from the safety of the upper deck, found them scrounging around looking for food. The mama dragged out a storage container full of costumes and was rude enough to not even try on the hat! She just walked over the top and went looking for more. Eric got some rocks and started throwing them at her to scare her away. She tried to catch them, thinking they were food. Eventually they wandered off, but it was enough excitement for us that evening!

Not my usual modus operandi...

Those in the know....
...Know that I don't usually finish projects...
Unless C2 is involved, or occasionally, C3...

Please NOTE that dolly is wearing finished leggings!
Not only that but they are already in the mail on their way to Little Man! ...Hopefully before he outgrows them!
Watch for a picture of Little Man in these fun leggings soon!

Thank you, Machelle, at, for your help and wonderfully well written pattern! You can find it and more here!

The Zen of Knitting?

Perhaps I should begin by saying this is NOT about the Zen of Knitting. I cannot say that I have found Zen...

No, all I find are dropped stitches... and fewer rows than I had three days ago.. See how cute these little leggings are? You can get the pattern here. That is all that is keeping them on the needles. They are so CUTE!

See Mother knit!
See Mother knit with 8 needles!
See Mother drop a stitch.
See Mother try to pick it up.
See Mother rip 13 rows.
Funny, funny Mother!

Perhaps I should have stopped with this one leg. Now, that was cute! Little Man however has two legs. Socks? Maybe I should have just made socks... No, C2 wanted soakers.
BittyBaby was happy with one sock. Why couldn't C2 be happy with just one long sock? I must have spoiled her.
