Hiding in the Flowers

What do you do when little fingers leave little prints on your favorite skirt?

You just get your Mom to embroider little flowers where the little fingers were...

The fun of teaching someone...

The fun of teaching someone a new skill is seeing what all they can do with it.
My young friend, Rebecca, wanted to learn to crochet.
She has now made two blankets for her friends.Posted by Picasa
This is her second one.
Just wait until you see the one she is about to begin.
It will be AMAZING!
...but then, she is an amazing young lady!

Have you ever...

Seen such a Happy Mother?? :-)

Carrie here...Mom and I spent last week in Utah visiting Grandma. On our way home we visited old friends up in Logan. A member from their ward has an AMAZING garden. I promise...it rivals Camelot! But the one thing it had that Camelot does not...a swing. Oh yes! It was fantastic! And Mom had a blast!! Hey Dad...think Camelot can get a swing too??

An Artist in the Family

This is my grandson, Prince. He is an artist.

This is one of the drawings he made for me while we were visiting.

You can see it is him dressed in a Boy Scout uniform.
He is looking forward to being a Boy Scout!
All kids love uniforms and costumes of all kinds!
They just don't all do self-portraits...
I think he is really good, don't you?

The Snowball Tree

While in CT for Christmas we only had one snowstorm. It was pretty small by New England standards! There really wasn't even enough snow to build a snowman. Tackler and I didn't let that stop us.

We made a Snowball Tree!
We made good snowballs and threw them into the tree.
We were surprised at how many stayed up there.
Tackler seems to be rearranging some of them.
That is more to his liking...Climbing the tree!

The Garden in Winter

Anyone who has been to visit us knows we live in Camelot.
Life here is perfect...even in the Winter.
If you happen to have the misfortune of visiting on one of our few days without sun...
Let me introduce you to the Garden Room.
Even on the chilliest days this room will remind you of what is just around the corner.
Don't believe me? Crawl under my brand new quilt and find out...
My gorgeous hand quilted, pieced quilt was made by Martha Kuhn for the
Colorado PEO Chapter House Christmas Raffle.
Martha, Past President Colorado State Chapter, makes and donates a quilt every year to raise money in support of the Chapter House!
She is as amazing a lady as her quilts! Every one of them is beautiful!
Thank you, Martha!
Isn't it perfect for the Garden Room?
Want to visit? Do come!
Want to know more about PEO? Go here.
Want to buy Raffle Tickets for the next quilt? I can help you!

Pretty in Buttery Pink

See the pretty hat? I made that.

See the sparkle in the eyes?
My daughter made that by asking, "Would you like butter?"
A girl after my own heart! Of course, the butter slides right off her.
We should all be so lucky!
Hat pattern found here.
